Technical Assistance to support forest fire management and to reduce environmental impacts

In 2019 and 2020, Bolivia was severely affected by forest fires in many regions, including the Chiquitania, Amazon, Chaco, Wetlands and other forest ecosystems. About 6.5 million hectares were destroyed in 2019, and almost 5 million hectares were burned down in 2020.

Integrating Gender Considerations in Bolivia’s Public Service

Bolivia’s interim government has identified gender issues, and specifically the prevention of gender-based violence in Bolivia, as a key priority. Despite notable progress, Bolivia remains one of the countries with the highest level of violence against women and children.
