TAP contributes to the implementation of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP), advances Canada’s bilateral relationships and supports National Government Entities (NGEs) by providing Canadian technical assistance. TAP also builds the awareness of and increases the engagement of Canadians as global citizens.
Canada is home to internationally recognized and sought-after experts across multiple sectors.
To support poverty reduction in countries around the world, TAP responds to needs identified by countries eligible for official development assistance, ranging from gender equality, to sustainable practices in the extractive sector, to impact investing, from anti-human trafficking to forest fire management.
In a gender-responsive and inclusive way, TAP provides an opportunity for learning, partnership and discovery for Canadians and partners alike.
A key focus of the project is to create awareness of Canadians as partners and global citizens in support of the country’s international assistance efforts through strong public engagement and outreach efforts.
