Project Profile

The Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP) initiative and its Canadian experts, Astou Niang, Élodie Roy, and Michel Filion, are working in collaboration with Tunisia’s Ministry of Finance and its Central Unit for Budget Management by Objectives (UGBO) to promote gender equality and the implementation of gender-responsive budgeting (GRB) within Tunisian ministries.

The work includes research on international experiences with GRB, developing a practical guide on GRB for ministry officials, and delivering training sessions on the guide.

The initiative aims to ensure that all ministries integrate a clear gender perspective within the overall budgetary process context through special processes and analytical tools to promote gender-responsive policies and ultimately lead to an improved capacity of the UGBO to support the implementation of GBB within Tunisian ministries.
