Researcher, Gender and Education Expert

Dr. Michelle Hamilton-Page is a researcher, educator, and community builder working at the intersections of health, social science, technology, and climate change. She has led multiple tech and health innovation projects across public health, the international humanitarian tech sector, and community-based organizations.

As an expert with the Technical Assistance Partnership-Expert Deployment Mechanism (TAP-EDM) initiative, Michelle collaborates with fellow Canadian experts Jenn Hoffman and Robin Cox to support the Maldives Ministry of Climate Change, Environment, and Energy (MCCEE) and the Maldives National University in developing an academic framework for climate change and environmental sustainability research.

Recently, Michelle has been engaged in a community health gap assessment and a review of past and current research on workplace policies and practices that foster inclusive cultures and promote gender equity. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow focusing on climate action leadership and intersectionality.

Michelle is an Associate Faculty member at Royal Roads University, teaching in the Master of Arts programs in Disaster and Emergency Management and Justice Studies. Based in Lekwungen Territory, also known as Victoria, British Columbia, her community-building work extends across Canada and beyond.
