Delia Bucknell is a researcher with more than 20 years of invaluable experience in the agri-food sector, bringing a wealth of expertise to the field. Delia’s remarkable career path has led her to collaborate with diverse commodity groups and enterprises across the Canadian agri-food landscape. Her contribution as a pivotal team member spans several prominent research collectives, including the University of Guelph-Dean’s Office, the George Morris Centre, the Economics Research Team at the University of Guelph-Ridgetown, and Value Chain Management International.

As an expert at the Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP), Delia, alongside other experts in food safety and agro-processing, Yvon Bertrand, Brian McKa,y and Martin Gooch, are working collaboratively with the Government of Guyana’s Ministry of Agriculture. The work supports the development of the fruit agro-processing sector in Guyana, focusing on providing technical assistance in supply chain management, market research, and product development.

With an enduring commitment to advancing the agri-food domain, Delia’s insights have consistently driven innovation and informed decision-making. Her multi-faceted exploration of critical aspects within the industry underscores her holistic understanding and dedication to sustainable growth and development. Delia earned her Honours Bachelor of Science in International Agriculture Land and Business Management from the Royal Agricultural University in the UK. She further honed her expertise by obtaining an MSc in Rural Extension Studies: International Development from the prestigious University of Guelph.
