Technical assistance to implement the Performance Audit at the Office of the Controller General of Ecuador

The Technical Assistance Partnership – Expert Deployment Mechanism (TAP-EDM) is collaborating with the Government of Ecuador’s Office of the Controller General (Auditor General) to implement a Performance Audit. The initiative aims to strengthen the Auditor General’s control and judgment management in performance auditing and improve the training and education of the auditors.

This initiative is crucial in supporting the Auditor General’s pivotal role in overseeing public administration, ensuring the proper management and use of state resources. It is focused on increasing transparency, reducing poverty, and promoting sustainable socio-economic development and is mainly dedicated to all Ecuadorians, especially the country’s most vulnerable groups.

In consultation with the Auditor General, a Canadian expert or a group of experts will work to enhance and strengthen public management by integrating and effectively applying performance audit practices aligned with international standards and aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the administration of resources and public policies in Ecuador.
