Supporting the National Economic and Development Authority’s M&E Capacities for the Philippine Development Plan

Project Profile

The Technical Assistance Partnership – Expert Deployment Mechanism (TAP-EDM) is collaborating with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) of the Government of the Philippines to enhance the monitoring and evaluation of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP). This plan outlines the government’s medium-term priorities, strategies, and socio-economic policies to achieve poverty reduction objectives and sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Canadian Technical Expert for the TAP-EDM with expertise in monitoring and evaluating development projects, Ronald Santos, will assist in identifying and strengthening institutional capacities crucial for establishing a robust monitoring and evaluation system that supports the effective implementation of the PDP. This involves enhancing capacities and competencies within the public sector to evaluate performance and contribute to evidence-based policy and program development. A Canadian Technical Advisor will work closely with the NEDA counterpart team to facilitate this initiative.
