The Technical Assistance Partnership—Expert Deployment Mechanism (TAP-EDM) with Canadian experts, Sébastien Hamel and Michael Wodzicki, from Nexus Cooperation is collaborating with Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development (MEPD) and Direction Générale de la Coopération au Développement (DGCOD) to support capacity development of the MEPD, technical ministries and other implementing partners to put in place mechanisms and tools to strengthen aid coordination mechanisms. DGCOD and MEPD are key in coordinating international cooperation with Technical and Financial Partners (TFPs).
Nexus Corporation Inc. (Nexus) carried out the first phase of the project with TAP-EDM to support DGCOD, focusing on an organizational diagnosis, an analysis of international best practices and the development of strategic tools, such as a three-year operational plan and a concept note for the development of a digital project monitoring platform. For this second phase, Nexus’ second mandate will continue to support DGCOD in operationalizing and disseminating the tools developed previously. The initiative aims to improve DGCOD’s ability to coordinate international aid effectively.
