PROJECT RESULTS 

  • Improved MoH capacity to manage its IT System Architecture, Security, and Data. 

LESSONS LEARNED 

  • Studying the eHealth strategies of various countries, such as Australia, Cameroon, Denmark, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and others, offers valuable lessons, particularly regarding human rights and universal healthcare. It underscores the importance of establishing or updating legal and regulatory frameworks to support eHealth initiatives.

  • 40 Canadians reached through public engagement activities 

PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT

  • Guy Pearce delivered a presentation at the Digital Transformation in Government Conference 
  • Guy Pearce participated in the TAP GESI event in Edmonton as well as the Outreach and Knowledge Sharing Event in Edmonton

The Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP) initiative is collaborating with the Ministry of Health of Rwanda to strengthen the country’s health data systems and service delivery.

The initiative is implemented in the framework of Rwanda’s National Strategy for Transformation, a seven-year national development strategy (2017-2024) that focuses on economic and social transformation with a focus on the private sector and transformational governance. 

Canadian Expert Guy Pearce will be working with the MoH to develop a governance framework for health data sharing and ensure the protection and appropriate use of sensitive information.
