Guy Pearce is an Information Technology (IT), data, and governance thought leader with almost 20 years of experience in digital transformation. He helps organizations use IT and data to measurably achieve their objectives and to effectively manage their risk profiles. His technical understanding is balanced by the strategy, business, and governance experiences gained while serving as Chief Executive Officer of a multinational organization with 700 staff, and while serving on eight Boards of Directors.
As part of the Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP) initiative, Guy works collaboratively with the Rwandan Ministry of Health to strengthen the country’s health data systems to support and provide better equitable health services. His work involves the contribution of IT to health services delivery across Rwanda, developing a governance framework for health data sharing to ensure the protection and appropriate use of sensitive information.
Based in Eastern Ontario, Canada, Guy was awarded the ISACA Michael Cangemi Best Book/Author Award for “major contributions in the field of IS audit, control, risk, governance, and security.” He has published over 65 articles – some of which have been peer-reviewed and translated into Chinese, French, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish – in publications like ISACA Journal (USA), NACD Directorship (USA), ICD Director (Canada), and GIA Governance Directions (Australia). Guy holds a BSc in Computer Science, a BCom in Economics and Quantitative Management, and an MBA. He is Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT and is a Certified Data Privacy Systems Engineer.
