Do not miss this inspiring event! The TAP-EDM Climate Action Forum, titled *“Canada in Action: Global and Local Solutions for Climate Resilience,”* is happening on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Dalhousie Students Union Building, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

This forum, hosted by Alinea International’s TAP-EDM program in collaboration with CLIMAtlantic, will bring together local and international climate leaders, development experts, and community partners to explore innovative solutions to global and regional climate challenges.

The day will begin with **Panel Presentations (12:30 PM – 2:00 PM)**, featuring insights from renowned speakers:

 **Joe Michael, Mi’kmaw Elder**, who will provide a meaningful Land

Acknowledgement and Welcome

  • **Carmela Prinzo**, Deputy Director at Global Affairs Canada,
  • **Christopher Yeomans**, Project Director at TAP-EDM, will highlight Canada’s role in global climate initiatives.
    **Gordon Smith**, a principal at pLAnsmith.ca, will deliver a keynote address on developing climate adaptation practices.

The session will also showcase discussions by climate experts:

  • **Sabine Dietz** on managing rising sea levels in Atlantic Canada.
  • **Samantha Page** on building technical capacity for climate-resilient infrastructure.
  • **Simron Singh** on the urgent need for sustainable solutions for small islands.

A live **Q&A session** will provide opportunities for audience engagement, followed by closing remarks by **Janelle Frail, Master of Ceremonies**.
