Skip Hoffmann

Edward (Skip) Hoffmann, a Captain and Technical Rescue Program Lead, has been a Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency member since 1997. Skip joined CAN-TF5 in Halifax in 2020, has completed training as a Structural Collapse Technician, Technical Search Specialist and now operates as one of the Technical Search Leads and IMT members, most currently participating in the 2025 TAP-EDM program as a Technical Search Instructor. Skip has also been a member of Halifax Search and Rescue as part of the volunteer Ground Search and Rescue Team since 1990. He was a Team Leader and Overhead Team (IMT) member, most recently operating as one of the Planning Section Chiefs for a large, multi-agency, inter-provincial Ground Search.
