Chris Arthur has over 20 years in Emergency Services. He was introduced to the Fire Service while working in Barkerville, British Columbia. Since then, Chris has worked in volunteer and career departments, spending 10 years as a firefighter/paramedic for the Department of National Defence (DND) at Canadian Forces Base, Shilo. When Chris left DND and came to the Manitoba Emergency Services College, he taught technical rescue for about 10 years. Chris now works full-time with CAN-TF4. The primary activity is Response readiness. Within Manitoba, he participates in the All-Hazards aspect of CAN-TF4, responding to various incidents throughout the province. Outside work, along with his family, Chris runs a small mixed farm with hay, grain, sheep and Clydesdale horses.
